TWTW - October 5th to October 11th.

Will be added to progressively through the week.

◊
Monday
---o---

Whipper-snip front grass.

Not my place—my partner’s place.

A labour of love.

A pumpkin curry.

Made for my partner’s dinner.

Alas, not for me.

The green bin is full.

It has been full every week.

What does that tell you?

Tuesday
---o---

A foggy morning

Galahs and finches don’t care.

Outside my window.

Another work day—

Is there no ending to it?

Pays for the shopping.

Wednesday
---o---

A sunny morning

A lone galah is feeding.

Hear distant traffic.

My plans for the day?

I will consult the clipboard—

Lots of little jobs.

Now, the cleaning crew—

A punk-pigeon has arrived.

Eats the dropped seed.

A shy two year old.

Puts her hands over her eyes—

(Tentative) “Man gone?”

The “fire-bomb” gum trees,

They are too close to the house—

Arborist’s pay day.

Someone has complained—

They dispute a report I wrote

Some three years ago.

Thursday
---o---

Booked a car service.

Have now changed the date four times.

It’s a running joke.

At Saff’s to write.

My partner has come with me,

She is writing too.

Brunch and a Wordle.

I decided to go posh—

Had Eggs Atlantic. (1)

The Anglican Church.

A new minister installed.

I watched with intrigue.

After the church part—

A supper in the church hall.

Country cooking fest

Friday
---o---

U3A Meeting

The issues of interest

All sorts of topics.

New cleaning lady.

I had other things to do.

I left her to it.

Small tree: lots of figs.

Large fig tree—nothing to show.

Nature can be odd.

A mild evening.

The seasons are on the move.

I went for a walk.

Saturday
---o---

From the cheese making,

Some leftover ricotta —

A mushroom gnocchi

Bought a Jujube tree.

I thought jujubes were a sweet,

Found in lolly shops.

A steam train went past,

Pulling lots of carriages

Helped by two diesels.

Sunday
---o---

It’s my day of “rest”

(Normal stuff to do, of course)

No exercises.

There’s a price to pay

For last night’s lovely dinner—

Dishes to be cleaned.

Steps in the stairwell

Partner is exercising—

Up and down ten times.

My morning “coffee”, (2)

Tried it without sugar,

Sort of bearable.

Watching the steam train

From the comfort of my bed.

A beautiful sight.

The door is open—

The sounds of the outside world

Come into my room.

Shoes were slippery.

I glued sand-paper to them—

No report back yet.

Notes & Explanations
---o---
