TWTW - September 7th - 13th

Will be added to progressively through the week.

◊

Monday
---o---
Weeding the reserve—
It doesn’t belong to me
But I feel it does. (1)

A son visiting—
Conversation and dinner.
Not often enough.

A lead-light window—
A jigsaw of coloured glass,
Slowly emerging.

TURP changed the plumbing—(7)
Backwards ejaculation!
No mess and no kids.

Tuesday
---o---
A table arrives
Ordered for al fresco life
A bloody flatpack!

The weekly challenge—
A Wordle about Wordles
Recursive writing

My brown sugar smells
Of bread and butter pickles.
An ill-thought out jar.

Remembered the stove
While sitting in the sauna—
A sweaty rescue.

Only two days in—
Who knows what tomorrow brings!
Life is surprising.

"Life would be tragic
If it were not so funny"
Says Stephen Hawking.

A heavy table.
I tried to turn it over...
And snapped a leg off. (2)

Wednesday
---o---
Not sure about me—
Watching with suspicious eyes.
Drinks Babychino. (3)

Stress Echo results. (4)
You know what that means don't you?
Cardiologist.

Common name: Cleavers.
I call it 'sticky weed'.
The green bin is full. (5)

Thursday
---o---
Galahs here to feed.
No sign of the cute finches.
Nor the cockatoos.

Cockies unwelcome.
The bean bags at the ready
A crude deterrence.

The red-browed finches
Go bob-bob-bobbin’ along
Outside my window.

Some dried blue mushrooms.
A new adventure for me—
An uncharted world.

Brunch at a cafĂ©—
Vegetarian breakfast, (6)
A side of writing.

She gives a long sigh.
Her resolutions leaving?
Apparently not.

Milk waits in the jar
Bacteria, grains and weeds—
Everything curdles. (8)

Take dried blue mushrooms—
An afternoon on the couch.
No psychedelics.

A thick chicken soup.
A remedy for all ills!
Tastes really good too.

She runs towards me
And then leaps into my arms!
My love overflows. (9)

Friday
---o---
I sit up and yawn.
I lie down and stay awake.
Time passes slowly.

Less than four hours sleep.
Awake at the normal time.
Put the kettle on.

Two cups of coffee,
A croissant and marmalade—
Life is pretty good.

U3A Meeting.

Some Issues of Interest

Much good company.

Little sleep last night.

Will take a quarter tablet (10)

Must be sensible.

A shuttle service.

Home to shop to home again—

Nice to be useful.

Her birthday today.

A brief exchange of fluids

Changed both of our lives.

Saturday
---o---

Nearly eight hours sleep

Yes, chemically induced (10)

But still quite wondrous.

Nine bloody eleven!

I am so sick of the thing—

It’s over. Move on.

Fish cooked in paper.

Open the foil wrapper—

The nose gets a treat.

Sitting in the dark,

Side by side, holding her hand.

Film? Secondary.

Skin on skin contact.

A wonderful conclusion

To a lovely day.

Sunday
---o---

Avian dismay—

Forgot to fill the feeder.

Quickly rectified.

Is she awake yet?

(Sleeping in the downstairs room)

Tea service awaits.

Satin dressing gown.

Surplus to our requirements.

Dispatched to the floor.

Crimson Rosella.

Can’t find way into feeder.

Finches are smarter.

Kefir nursery—

Stubbornly too alkaline.

Slow to activate.

A hot-plate cleaner,

Uh-oh, it was being sold…

…by the Dark Empire.
